This year, we’ve been hearing the need from schools and teachers to learn more about fundraising and grant proposals for Arts in education… so we listened!

Cause4: Fundraising In Arts Education
This short 1 hour workshop aims to support participants to think through how to raise funds to support cultural activity in schools. It will cover the key components of developing a compelling story and identify some key funders that will support work in schools. We will also look at examples of other ways that schools are generating funds for arts and cultural activity Finally, we will consider the key infrastructure to have in place to effectively fundraise, and manage the funds once they arrive.
The workshop will be led by David Johnson, Director of Strategy and Programmes and Cause4, a social enterprise that supports charities, companies and individuals raise vital income.
Arts Council England and National Heritage Lottery Fund: Grant Proposals For Arts In Education
Lisa Elmer, Relationship Manager for Children, Young People and Learning at Arts Council England and Rachel Macfarlane, Senior Engagement Officer for National Lottery Heritage Fund will lead a session about the funding opportunities they have available. They’ll talk more about how the grants can work in education settings to fund creativity in schools along with the steps and what to think about when applying.
