Festival Bridge

Connecting children and young people with great arts & culture

Our mission is to radically improve the cultural education offer by creating, advising and facilitating partnerships and networks in the places in which we work.

We provide support, advice and guidance to inspire educators and practitioners, helping them to ensure children and young people’s creative and cultural experiences are the most valuable they can be.

Festival Bridge is one of ten Bridge Organisations working nationally with investment from Arts Council England and the Department for Education.

COVID19 UPDATE

Throughout the Covid-19 crises our team is here, ready with (highly sanitised) hands on deck to support you in any way we can.

During Covid-19 it’s been essential to us that children and young people still have access to arts and culture which is why we’ve been working on the following projects:

1. Let’s Create! Our last let’s Create reached 18000 families. You can download a copy of the Let’s Create Packs here.

2. Creating The Future Live: Hear from the professionals what it’s like to work in the industry.

For any Arts and Cultural organisations creating new digital content we have updated our Digital Toolkit: Making the most of your digital content, and have created a free Online Safety Module to help organisation make sure their policies and online practice is up to date and safe.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us, we will be happy to talk through any issues, transitions and ideas with you.

National Art and Culture Education Survey

As a response to the Coronavirus Pandemic, the Bridge England Network initiated a National School Survey. The purpose of this survey was to gather indicative information from schools about the potential needs and creative aspirations for their pupils from autumn 2020 onwards. The aim was to identify how Bridges and the cultural sector might best support schools moving forward.

It was distributed in the last two weeks of the academic year, in a very challenging school term, to gather the most relevant information. Bridge England Network is hugely grateful to those educators who were able to find the time to respond.
