HAPTIC/TACIT

The Artistic Forager

This is a past event which has now ended.

In connection with GroundWork Gallery’s exhibition FieldWork, this will be an afternoon of talking and walking with artist-collective haptic/tacit. These artists are adept at investigating their surroundings, closely observing and finding things, crafting and assembling, using research, resourcefulness and adaptation.

The haptic/tacit founding members Jane Cairns, Grant Aston and Kim Norton will give an exclusive tour of the exhibition FieldWork, discussing some of the skills needed to maintain an expanded creative practice in tune with the environment and in challenging times.

Afterwards we will take a walk through the town and discuss the artists’ responses to creative opportunities its environment suggests to them.
