‘What if the contents of those shelves could speak? What languages are contained within the leather-bound pages? What voices of travellers and explorers are captured within?’

The Edge of Things is a series of multimedia installations and live projects that draw inspiration from the most significant book collection cared for by the National Trust. Looking through a contemporary lens, the artists bring to life the contents of four of the books, exploring a lost language and the edge of science, space and discovery.
