Resilient Plants, Through Poetry and Music
Harriet Tarlo and Stevie Wishart
Friday 23 May, 6.00pm
GroundWork Gallery, King's Lynn
Tickets: £15.00
Poet Harriet Tarlo and artist Judith Tucker, whose work is at the centre of Plant Power, were working on a long-term project about the pioneer plants on the salt marshes of the North Lincolnshire coast, before Judith’s untimely and sudden death in 2023. Far from abandoning the project, Harriet is continuing their study to consider the power of resilient plants which inhabit inhospitable places.
This evening will bring us to a truly original and new collaboration between poet Harriet Tarlo and composer Stevie Wishart, exploring a whole new way to interpret ecology, using voice and musical instrument to respond to nature.
