A Sermon With Music
This year was a fundraising sermon with musical performances, to raise money for the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.
The sermon included the first performance in Norwich of Handel’s coronation anthem The King Shall Rejoice.
Also taking place in Norwich this year:
Many in Norwich welcomed the French Revolution of 1789! Apparently, Norwich had a ‘revolutionary’ reputation! Dissenters, merchants and professionals set up a Revolution Society and Radical Clubs were set up by artisans from 1792.
