The Last Fundraising Dinner
A fundraising sermon with musical performances, to raise money for the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.
The fundraising dinner held after each sermon was held for the last time in 1814, which resulted in a drop-off of funds for the hospital.
A further Grand Musical Festival took place this year, once again seeing famed musicians such as tenor John Braham and cellist Robert Lindley take to the stage.
The Festival celebrated the end of Napoleon’s reign on the continent, marking the ensuing peace and the restoration of the French royal family.
