Samuel Wesley Features At The Sermon

A fundraising sermon with musical performances, to raise money for the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.

The celebrated organist and composer Samuel Wesley featured at the annual sermon, and he would return again the following year.

The works performed in 1815 also included music by William Crotch, who was at the time Norwich’s most famous composer.

Norfolk & Norwich Festival brings tens of thousands of people together in celebration – it has been doing this for over 250 years. Through our May Festival and our year-round arts education work, focusing on children and young people, we lead and support celebration, creativity and curiosity in communities across Norfolk and the region.
