Culture Talks

October 2025 – September 2026

Culture Talks is a monthly podcast and digital platform created by Peterborough Collective, a group of young creatives in Peterborough. The project showcases local youth talent, stories, and cultural conversations, with the aim of fostering a greater sense of community pride and belonging. It features discussions on local news, events, and the city’s cultural scene, with a focus on empowering young creatives. Peterborough Collective are previous recipients of our Bursaries for Young Creatives.

Producer, DJ, and broadcaster Amy Nomvula has been commissioned by Festival Connect & Create to support and develop Culture Talks and the Peterborough Collective cohort as they enter supportive roles for the next cohort of creatives. This support will span mentorship, recruitment, collaboration and the designing and delivering of a live community event for 15 – 30 year olds in Peterborough.

Together, the project will support the continued delivery and growth of Culture Talks, amplify marginalised voices in Peterborough, engage young people through mentorship and community events, and provide a sustainable model for this youth-led creative podcast.

Arts make life better

Norfolk & Norwich Festival brings tens of thousands of people together in celebration – it has been doing this for over 250 years. Through our May Festival and our year-round arts education work, focusing on children and young people, we lead and support celebration, creativity and curiosity in communities across Norfolk and the region.

This year we begin an exciting new initiative, Festival Connect & Create that will bring creative opportunities to those schools and communities with least provision. Creativity transforms people’s lives. It builds cohesive communities, develops vital skills and supports health and wellbeing. We want more people to have access to creative opportunities.

Please consider donating to support and develop this work. With your help we can increase access to the life changing power of the arts.
