Do It Together

Oct 2025 – Sept 2026

Professional development BY artists FOR artists!

Do It Together (DIT) is a peer-to-peer professional development programme that enables artists to explore ideas, aesthetics and sociopolitical realities together.

DIT reimagines Live Art Development Agency’s (LADA) flagship programme, DIY, which ran unique professional development projects from 2002 to 2020. For 2026, LADA reactivates the programme as DIT in line with their renewed focus on co-learning.

The crucial shift from DIY to DIT is that each project is supported by two national partners instead of one. By increasing the support at a time when both independents and organisations are struggling to resource artist development, DIT ignites a nation-wide support network for process-led experimental practice.

We are thrilled to partner with one of our longstanding visual arts programme partners, GroundWork Gallery, to support a DIT project in 2026. Our chosen project will blend our two focuses together, art and the environment, and the cultural lives of children, young people and their communities.

Project proposals are now live. Deadline: Wednesday 12 Nov, 5pm.

Arts make life better

Norfolk & Norwich Festival brings tens of thousands of people together in celebration – it has been doing this for over 250 years. Through our May Festival and our year-round arts education work, focusing on children and young people, we lead and support celebration, creativity and curiosity in communities across Norfolk and the region.

This year we begin an exciting new initiative, Festival Connect & Create that will bring creative opportunities to those schools and communities with least provision. Creativity transforms people’s lives. It builds cohesive communities, develops vital skills and supports health and wellbeing. We want more people to have access to creative opportunities.

Please consider donating to support and develop this work. With your help we can increase access to the life changing power of the arts.
