We are thrilled to once again be partnering with Unlimited to deliver a UK Partner Award for 2026/27. After the success of our previous award, *conditions apply’s go gently into the garden of [im]possible dreams, we are pleased to expand our offer to a £25,000 award for an East Anglian Disabled artist/s to create a new theatre/music/dance/performance work that centres children and young people at its core. The awarded project will be developed throughout 2027 and will premiere at Norfolk & Norwich Festival in May 2028.
The awarded project will meet the following criteria from both Unlimited and the Festival.
Unlimited criteria:
- High quality
- Disabled-led
- Innovative and ambitious
- Potential for the work to tour or be exhibited beyond its initial presentation
- Clear consideration of the work’s audiences, suitable venues and future exhibition or touring opportunities
- Artist has a track record of creating work and reaching audiences
- The work can be completed within a 16-month timeframe
Norfolk & Norwich Festival criteria:
- Theatre, music, dance and/or performance that centres children and young people, made for and co-created with them
- Mid-scale (suitable for audiences of 100–300)
- Has already undergone a research and development process
- For commission to premiere at Norfolk & Norwich Festival in May 2028
- Based in East Anglia (Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, or Peterborough) preferred; artists based in the South East of England are welcome if able to travel
