Artist Network

Our Artist Network is for artists or creative practitioners committed to working with schools, young people and communities in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The network is designed to support our region’s artists through knowledge exchange and peer connection, sharing best practice and inspiration.

We do this through a range of events throughout the year: firstly, online talks from international artists, experts in their field, who will be discussing their socially-engaged practice. Secondly, we’ll deliver, with a partner venue, three in-person events, each at a special East Anglian location.

For these in-person events, we’ve commissioned local, socially-engaged artists to deliver creative workshops, featuring activities that resonate culturally with the location.

These events will inspire participants with new practices and places, offer fantastic upskilling opportunities, and encourage connection with like-minded peers, fostering a local cultural community.

Arts make life better

Norfolk & Norwich Festival brings tens of thousands of people together in celebration – it has been doing this for over 250 years. Through our May Festival and our year-round arts education work, focusing on children and young people, we lead and support celebration, creativity and curiosity in communities across Norfolk and the region.

This year we begin an exciting new initiative, Festival Connect & Create that will bring creative opportunities to those schools and communities with least provision. Creativity transforms people’s lives. It builds cohesive communities, develops vital skills and supports health and wellbeing. We want more people to have access to creative opportunities.

Please consider donating to support and develop this work. With your help we can increase access to the life changing power of the arts.
