We share exceptional arts experiences across the East of England
Each year Norfolk & Norwich Festival delivers Take Part: Schools – a creative learning programme focused on schools most in need around Norwich and Norfolk. We inspire and nurture creativity and provide opportunities to grow, learn, make and have lifelong creative experiences.
Current Programme
An Artist at My Place
This programme sees a number of artists working in long-term residencies at schools across the West Earlham area of Norwich, with exciting projects as diverse as couture fashion design and graffiti. 2020’s programme was shaped to work around Covid and with the needs of schools, and our 2021/2022 programme involves working with a poet and a visual artist to bring students’ poems alive.
The Lost & Found Films of Norfolk
We are looking for schools within a 20 mile radius from Norwich City Centre to take place in our Lost & Found Films programme Autumn term 2022!
The Lost & Found Films of Norfolk is an artists-led filmmaking project for 10 to 13 year olds in Norwich and Norfolk, where artists and children work together to make films of imagined Norfolk events.
Over three years we will create an archive of imagined films, showcasing the children involved as storytellers uncovering the deeper truth that we might find in such imagined events, and what this says about the time and place they live in.
We had a fantastic red carpet event during the May 2022 Festival showcasing the films already created, where children and staff got to experience a red carpet photo shoot before an exclusive screening of the films in Cinema City, Norwich.
