Part of this year’s Little ‘nn’ Fest – a special programme for our littles Festival goers, Baby Bedlam x Messy Play is an immersive collaboration between the adventurous music ensemble House of Bedlam and Little Mess Norwich, created especially for little ones under 3 years and their grown-ups. This unique 45-minute event combines sensory messy play with live experimental music offering a space where everything is allowed.

Explore an environment where your baby can dive into messy, sensory materials while the musicians of House of Bedlam improvise on flute, saxophone, and cello, responding to the playful explorations around them. With expertly arranged sensory areas by Krissi from Little Mess Norwich, the messy play is seamlessly interwoven with music by Larry Goves, Claudia Sessa, and Pauline Oliveros, alongside beloved nursery tunes reimagined House of Bedlam style.

Get up close to the instruments in this one-off event designed to inspire connection, creativity, and curiosity both babies and their grown-ups.

Arts make life better

Norfolk & Norwich Festival brings tens of thousands of people together in celebration – it has been doing this for over 250 years. Through our May Festival and our year-round arts education work, focusing on children and young people, we lead and support celebration, creativity and curiosity in communities across Norfolk and the region.

This year we begin an exciting new initiative, Festival Connect & Create that will bring creative opportunities to those schools and communities with least provision. Creativity transforms people’s lives. It builds cohesive communities, develops vital skills and supports health and wellbeing. We want more people to have access to creative opportunities.

Please consider donating to support and develop this work. With your help we can increase access to the life changing power of the arts.
