Tickets: £10.00 - £18.00

At just 23, saxophonist Emma Rawicz’s ascent has been meteoric. Her performances are distinct, engaging and full of thrilling interplay, and with over 70 international shows in the past year, she has become one of the most sought-after artists of her generation.

This special ensemble brings together some of Emma’s closest musical collaborators in a group that has never performed together before. Having worked closely with every band member individually, Emma has now brought them together to play a new set of music written specifically for this unique quintet instrumentation. It will draw on strong melodic themes, with the voice (Immy Churchill) and saxophone on the frontline and an all-star rhythm section, in the unusual constellation of vibraphone (Jonny Mansfield), double bass (Freddie Jensen) and drums (Marc Michel).

This promises to be a memorable concert serving as the world premiere of a brand-new project brimming with exciting potential and showcasing several of the brightest rising stars on the UK and European jazz scene.

‘What an extraordinary artist reaching such heights at such a young age!’ Jamie Cullum

Arts make life better

Norfolk & Norwich Festival brings tens of thousands of people together in celebration – it has been doing this for over 250 years. Through our May Festival and our year-round arts education work, focusing on children and young people, we lead and support celebration, creativity and curiosity in communities across Norfolk and the region.

This year we begin an exciting new initiative, Festival Connect & Create that will bring creative opportunities to those schools and communities with least provision. Creativity transforms people’s lives. It builds cohesive communities, develops vital skills and supports health and wellbeing. We want more people to have access to creative opportunities.

Please consider donating to support and develop this work. With your help we can increase access to the life changing power of the arts.
