Immersive Visualisation and Simulation Lab, Havers Road
Norwich University of the Arts’ new Immersive Visualisation and Simulation Lab (IVSL) is the first facility of its kind in the UK, and brings together film makers, animators, games designers and visual artists from across the region to communicate and address global challenges.
The lab features a 360º screen, cameras, AI and audio facilities and, as part of this year’s Festival, presents a series of live performances and immersive video installations featuring works from An-Ting, Chris Allen, Meitao-Qu, Kate Flurrie, Louis Nixon, Kirk Woolford, Collusion, the Broads Authority, and others, exploring lost and changing landscapes, inaccessible and sensitive sites, and urban memories.
The works address social and mental anxiety around climate change by exploring imaginable futures co-created with communities that allow them to see beyond the damage of today and the coming changes.
