Norwich University of the Arts Immersive Lab
The sea is returning to Norfolk, and while we hear terrible warnings about the challenges facing us in the coming decades, such as the loss of habitats and the destruction of our landscape, the sea brings fertility. We have a chance to better understand the effects of rising sea levels and explore new ways of living in a changing landscape. Norwich University of the Arts invites you to join our artists and communities in a shared dialogue about how we can protect our landscapes and imagine a future with prosperity and resilience for all.
Norwich University of the Arts’ new Immersive Visualisation and Simulation Lab presents a series of live performances and immersive video installations featuring works from An-Ting, Chris Allen, Meitao-Qu, Kate Flurrie, Louis Nixon, Kirk Woolford, Collusion, the Broads Authority, and others exploring lost and changing landscapes, inaccessible and sensitive sites and urban memories.
The works address social and mental anxiety around climate change by exploring imaginable futures co-created with communities that allow them to see beyond the damage of today and the coming changes.
