Kathryn Tickell & The Darkening
Monday 21 May, 7.30pm
Folk artist Kathryn Tickell leads a band of musicians from England, Scotland and Ireland. The wild, weather-bitten countryside along Hadrian’s Wall seems quintessentially Northumbrian, but 2000 years ago the landscape was inhabited by people from across the world. Kathryn Tickell & The Darkening embrace this global perspective as they bring some of the oldest Northumbrian songs throbbing to life.
