Leonkoro Quartet
Monday 12 May, 7.30pm
Norwich Theatre Playhouse
Tickets: £7.50 - £25.00
Founded in 2019 in Berlin, the Leonkoro Quartet debuted at Norfolk & Norwich Festival as one of the BBC Radio 3 New Generation artists in 2023.
Having garnered widespread and effusive praise, they are rapidly becoming one of the most exciting ensembles on the international scene, with a reputation for technical excellence and thoughtful, impassioned performances. This year they return to the Festival with a fabulously beautiful programme including Alban Berg’s Lyric Suite, written for his secret lover Hanna Fuchs, which he called ‘a small monument to a great love’.

‘The Leonkoro Quartet … has an enormous stage presence, glows for the music, takes full risks and amazes with its empathy for the respective sound of the pieces …’ Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung
