DanceEast and FLOCK are excited to collaborate on an event like no other, led by film and digital artist Tom Hobden. Taking place in Ashton Studio’s greenscreen space, you’ll explore where visual media and dance meet, using greenscreen effects and projection mapping to create live graphics and visual art from movement.
Whether you’re a dancer, visual artist, movement artist, or technician, come and bring your craft to screen in this fascinating, collaborative, cross-disciplinary session.
Please note: this free event is part of DanceEast’s YOUTHFEST 2026. Come along on the day, no need to book. YOUTHFEST runs from 11am-4pm. Full details of the day will be announced on their website shortly.

Artist Bio
Tom Hobden is the founder and Creative Director of Tom Hobden Studio, an independent Suffolk-based creative practice producing films, immersive digital experiences, and arts projects that connect people through everyday human stories. With more than 24 years’ experience working with many of the UK’s leading cultural organisations, Tom combines storytelling, technology, and participation to create meaningful experiences for communities and audiences. His work spans filmmaking, projection mapping, interactive installations, and choreography, bringing together artistic ambition with social impact. Passionate about collaboration, Tom creates thoughtful, joyful work that inspires connection, celebrates creativity, and makes culture more accessible.

Joining FLOCK will give you the opportunity to network, develop creative skills, meet like-minded individuals, and access our Bursaries for Young Creatives.
