Tickets: £10.00 - £18.00

The Sisterhood is Sarah Jane Morris’ personal tribute to, and celebration of, twelve female artists prominent in the music world during the last century. These swashbuckling pioneers; Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Miriam Makeba, Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, Patti Smith, Rickie Lee Jones, Annie Lennox, Kate Bush and Sinead O’Connor have all left an enormous musical footprint which stands the test of time.

A labour of love which she has been contemplating for two decades, the project acknowledges and honours female artists, past and present, who have inspired Sarah Jane’s own musical journey.

Wonderfully arranged and stylistically diverse, Sarah Jane and her co-writer/co-producer, Tony Rémy pull off a remarkable feat of crafting twelve songs which tell each artist’s story while simultaneously capturing their musical and lyrical essence.

Soaring, swooping, sensual and sophisticated, this voice is more than a style, it’s a force of nature.’ The Observer

Arts make life better

Norfolk & Norwich Festival brings tens of thousands of people together in celebration – it has been doing this for over 250 years. Through our May Festival and our year-round arts education work, focusing on children and young people, we lead and support celebration, creativity and curiosity in communities across Norfolk and the region.

This year we begin an exciting new initiative, Festival Connect & Create that will bring creative opportunities to those schools and communities with least provision. Creativity transforms people’s lives. It builds cohesive communities, develops vital skills and supports health and wellbeing. We want more people to have access to creative opportunities.

Please consider donating to support and develop this work. With your help we can increase access to the life changing power of the arts.
