Houghton Hall Presents:
Skyspace Evenings
Thursday 21 May, 7.30pm–Friday 22 May, 7.30pm
Houghton Hall
Through an aperture in the ceiling, experience the change of light from day to night in James Turrell’s tranquil Skyspace: Seldom Seen.
A sequenced light program inside Skyspace, designed by Turrell, interacts with the atmospheric light coming through the aperture to create a spectrum of colours and an immersive sensory experience at dawn and dusk. A place of contemplation and revelation, Skyspace is the only one of the four in the UK with this feature. The changing colours during the session influence the viewer’s perception of the surroundings.
These evening events offer a rare opportunity to experience Skyspace at dusk, guided by arts expert Amanda Geitner.
There is very limited availability, so early booking is advised.
