Tickets: £10.00 - £12.00

Our wardrobes overflow with clothes we never wear—so why do we keep buying more? Patrick Grant — fashion designer, businessman, and star of The Great British Sewing Bee — examines the crisis of overconsumption in fashion.

In his new book Less, Patrick delivers a passionate critique of the broken global fashion industry, weaving in his own journey through clothing to celebrate craftsmanship, thoughtful purchases, and the joy of owning fewer, better-quality items. Discover how living with care and intention can make us happier while valuing what we truly need.

Patrick will be in conversation with journalist and ITV Arts Editor, Nina Nannar.

‘Utterly brilliant. We all need to read this book’ Claudia Winkleman

‘Patrick’s book is fascinating and sobering and makes a compelling argument for going back to basics’ Joe Lycett

With a career in fashion spanning nearly two decades Patrick Grant has a lot to say about our clothing, who makes it and how it’s made. He is a regular on television and radio as a commentator on the clothing and textile industries and is best known as a judge on the BBC’s The Great British Sewing Bee. Patrick holds an honorary Doctorate from Heriot Watt University, is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and is in the Business of Fashion 500 index of the most influential people in global fashion. In 2016 he launched Community Clothing, a social enterprise which supports thousands of UK jobs through making and selling affordable high- quality clothing. Website / Instagram @patrickgrantism

Arts make life better

Norfolk & Norwich Festival brings tens of thousands of people together in celebration – it has been doing this for over 250 years. Through our May Festival and our year-round arts education work, focusing on children and young people, we lead and support celebration, creativity and curiosity in communities across Norfolk and the region.

This year we begin an exciting new initiative, Festival Connect & Create that will bring creative opportunities to those schools and communities with least provision. Creativity transforms people’s lives. It builds cohesive communities, develops vital skills and supports health and wellbeing. We want more people to have access to creative opportunities.

Please consider donating to support and develop this work. With your help we can increase access to the life changing power of the arts.
