Norfolk Wonder Walk Packs

The Norfolk Wonder Walk Packs are three walks, created by artists, to frame a winter walk in towns on the Norfolk coast. Visual artists Rebecca French and Andrew Mottershead have created an experience in Kings Lynn; in Cromer local author and artist Sarah Lowndes’ walk will explore the history and experience of past visitors to the town; and composer Ela Orleans has created a sound-score for Great Yarmouth.

Each pack is more than a booklet or a map, it is an artistic interpretation of place, providing materials and instructions for an audience to undertake a self-directed walk, each packed in a beautiful royal blue box. The walks start at the local museum and Norfolk Museum Services is a valued partner connecting us with museums across Norfolk.

The packs are presented in partnership with Cromer MuseumTime and Tide Museum, Great Yarmouth, and Lynn Museum, King’s Lynn

Arts make life better

Norfolk & Norwich Festival brings tens of thousands of people together in celebration – it has been doing this for 250 years. Through our May Festival and our year-round arts education work, focusing on children and young people, we lead and support celebration, creativity and curiosity in communities across Norfolk and the region.

This year we begin an exciting new initiative, Festival Connect & Create that will bring creative opportunities to those schools and communities with least provision. Creativity transforms people’s lives. It builds cohesive communities, develops vital skills and supports health and wellbeing. We want more people to have access to creative opportunities.

Please consider donating to support and develop this work. With your help we can increase access to the life changing power of the arts.
