Cinema City
About the venue
A much-loved three-screen cinema in the heart of Norwich, Cinema City occupies a 16th-century building built by politician, mercer and merchant adventurer, Robert Suckling. Opened in 1978, it has championed independent cinema ever since. Alongside all your usual favourites at the kiosk, there is also an excellent bar and kitchen.
Getting there
Train/Bus Cinema City is 15 minutes walk from Norwich Train Station and a five minute walk from Castle Meadow Bus Terminal.
Car The nearest car park is St Andrews, about 300 yards away. There are 52 Blue badge spaces.
Accessibility
All our screens are fully accessible to customers with limited mobility including wheelchair users. Screen 1 is located on the 1st Floor accessible by lift. Screens 2 and 3 are located on the Lower Ground Floor and are accessible via lift from the Box Office or from Street Level on St Andrew’s Hill.
All screens have dedicated wheelchair spaces, available in the following locations:
Screen 1: Row F, Seats 1 & 10
Screen 2: Row J, Seat 1
Screen 3: Row G, Seats 3 & 4

Aisles in our screens are located as follows:
Screen 1: Aisles are located either side of rows A-G, and in the centre of rows H-K
Screen 2: aisles are located next to seat 1 on each rowScreen 3: aisles are located next to seats 1 on rows A-E and seat 5 on rows F and G
All seats have immovable armrests, and chairs are fixed together. The distance of the aisles between seats – from the front of one row of seats to the back of another – is approximately 1.3m. The distance of the aisles between seats – from the front of one row of seats to the back of another – is approximately 50cm wide. The seat base and back are 46 to 48cm wide; and 58 to 60cm wide including armrests.
