Don’t miss out on being the first to experience a number of critically acclaimed artists and performers during this year’s Festival. Vibrant and innovative theatre creators, Improbable bring the debut of The Paper Man; a darkly comic exploration of football, fascism and the tenacity of the human spirit. Experimental acrobatic circus company Barely Methodical Troupe return to the Festival this year, and are treating us to an exclusive first look at their new show Shift.

We’re heading to Wells Beach with artists And Now: who will be premiering Wayfaring, an interactive installation crafted using found material. Accomplished producer, composer and pioneer of Asian Underground music Talvin Singh brings a new show to Norwich Cathedral featuring his talented tabla playing and fusion of Indian and Western sounds. Norwich, Ely and Peterborough Cathedral Choirs are teaming up for a one-off concert, which will see the first performance of a new work by former BBC Young Composer of the Year Alex Woolf, commissioned for Norfolk & Norwich Festival.

Arts make life better

Norfolk & Norwich Festival brings tens of thousands of people together in celebration – it has been doing this for over 250 years. Through our May Festival and our year-round arts education work, focusing on children and young people, we lead and support celebration, creativity and curiosity in communities across Norfolk and the region.

This year we begin an exciting new initiative, Festival Connect & Create that will bring creative opportunities to those schools and communities with least provision. Creativity transforms people’s lives. It builds cohesive communities, develops vital skills and supports health and wellbeing. We want more people to have access to creative opportunities.

Please consider donating to support and develop this work. With your help we can increase access to the life changing power of the arts.
